PRESS RELEASE: Optus Announces 2025 Scholarship Program Winners

Optus Awards Scholarships to Isabella Freeman and Kinsey Lerma

JONESBORO, AROptus, a national technology advisory and IT services firm, has named Isabella Freeman and Kinsey Lerma as the recipients of the 2025 Optus Family Scholarship, an educational fund established in honor of Adam Harrington, the son of former long-time employee Neal Harrington.

Freeman, daughter of Nicole & David Warhurst and Blake Freeman, is a recent graduate of Paragould High School, and has shown remarkable academic prowess and community engagement. Freeman graduated Summa Cum Laude, ranking 9th out of 185 in her class. She actively participated in the National Honor Society, Student Council as a Class Officer, Rotary Interact Club, and Club SOUL. Freeman’s commitment to her community is evident through her volunteer work with Project Paragould Clean Sweep and Mission Outreach.

Kinsey Lerma

 

Lerma, daughter of Shane and Paula Lerma, is a 2023 Greene County Tech High School graduate, and has continued to excel in her academic pursuits at Arkansas State University. Lerma graduated from high school as an Honors Graduate, ranking 49th out of 264 in her class. She is currently majoring in Pre-Professional Biological Science with a minor in Business. Lerma’s dedication to community service is exemplary, particularly through her involvement with Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, which focuses on breast cancer awareness and organizes various charity events.

Their academic excellence and leadership qualities make them outstanding examples of the next generation of leaders we aim to support through our scholarship program.”

The Optus Family Scholarship is an annual scholarship awarded based on merit. Recipients are selected by an internal committee comprised of Optus employees. Pending eligibility, the scholarship will be renewed for up to three years. To qualify, recipients must be full-time undergraduate students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
